Aristotelis P. Mitsos was born in Athens in 1970.
He graduated from Varvakios Protipos School of Athens in 1987 and entered the Military Medical Academy (SSAS).
He studied medicine in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and took his degree as medical doctor in July 1993.
He was trained in neurosurgery in the Department of Neurosurgery of the 401 Athens Army General Hospital and Athens General Hospital “G.Gennimatas”, being appointed as Consultant Neurosurgeon in February 2003.
Between 2005 and 2007, he went to Oxford, Great Britain, where he sub-specialized in the vascular lesions of the brain and the spinal cord and their endovascular treatment (embolisation) taking also the degree of Master of Science (MSc) of Oxford University in Endovascular Neurosurgery / Interventional Neuroradiology.
Currently, he serves Greek Army as Lt Collonel and he is appointed as Consultant Neurosurgeon in 40 Athens General Army Hospital. At the same time he has a collaboration with the Euroclinic of Athens. His main interest is the surgical treatment of brain and spinal cord lesions, being also specialized in the embolisation of brain aneurysms and vascular malformations. |
